SynapseAI
Processes for you
This page tells you, in plain words, how SynapseAI handles your clinic's records. We designed SynapseAI to follow the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023, and the guidelines of the National Medical Commission (NMC).
Your clinic owns the records
- Ownership
- The clinic owns all its records. Under the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023, the clinic is the Data Fiduciary and SynapseAI is the Data Processor. We handle the records only to give the service to the clinic.
- Stored in India
- The database is in Mumbai (AWS). The photos of your notes are in Mumbai (Google Cloud).
- AI reading
- To read a note, SynapseAI sends the photo to Google Cloud's AI service. Google can process some of these requests on servers outside India.
- If you leave
- We keep the clinic's records for as long as the clinic has a subscription. When the clinic cancels, we give all the data back in digital form.
We do not sell data
- No selling
- We do not sell, rent or trade patient data, session notes or records.
- No advertising
- We do not use patient information for advertising. We do not give it to advertisers or insurance companies.
- How we earn
- Clinics pay a subscription fee for the software. That is our income, so we have no reason to sell patient data.
Security
- Encryption
- Data is encrypted when it is stored and when it is sent.
- Access
- Each clinic sees only its own records. In the clinic, each person sees only what their role permits.
- Photo details
- SynapseAI does not use the device details in a photo of a note, such as the GPS location.
The doctor decides
- Doctor review
- SynapseAI writes a draft. The doctor checks the draft and approves it. Clinicians make every clinical decision.
- Paper stays
- Your handwritten note stays the primary medical record. SynapseAI gives you a typed copy of it.
